As a part of the festive season of giving, we have sent you some information on the ‘Operation Christmas Child’ gift-filled shoe box campaign. Samaritan’s Purse distributes more than a million gift-filled shoe boxes to children in over 158 countries including Central and Eastern Europe, Mozambique, Swaziland and Liberia.
If you and your family would like to participate in this project, all you have to do is put together a shoebox size parcel with small items a child might like for Christmas and £3.00 towards postage costs. A cheque for this amount, payable to ‘Samaritan’s Purse’, is preferred for reasons of security. Please note the ‘Gift Aid’ tick box on the leaflet and see the attached leaflet for further details on how to pack your shoebox gift and age appropriate gift ideas.
We are now collecting shoebox gifts and will need them brought into school by Monday 21st November 2016
Please read the leaflet carefully and note the items that would or would not be suitable as gifts to go into your shoebox gift. An elastic band around the outside can also be helpful, as it prevents items falling out in transit. Please ensure that when you wrap the box, the lid can be opened as it will need to be checked by airport security.
Thank you for your continued support.
